BenchDeli

Buongiorno

Take a seat. Stay a while.

Every great conversation has a place where it begins. For us, it was a bench.

A simple wooden bench under an old tree, where strangers became friends, friends became family, and stories found a place to be told. We wanted to bring that same feeling into this café — a place where you can slow down, share a moment, and feel at home.

Here, your cup of coffee isn’t just a drink; it’s an invitation to pause, connect, and be present — just like sitting together on a bench that’s seen a thousand miles.

Bench Deli’s own words, printed inside their menu.

The building

You will find it by the portico. Four fluted columns, a pediment, and BENCH DELI in gold across it, lit after dark so it reads from the far end of Main Road. Behind the columns are tall black-framed windows; in front, a white picket fence and a garden of tables under the tree.

Inside is the counter — the bakery case, the espresso machine, the shelves. Outside, in the evening, the lamps come on and the tables fill up. It is the kind of frontage people photograph before they have ordered anything, which is fair enough.

Everything on the food menu is vegetarian, the coffee is served at 70°C, and the bakery case is restocked through the day.
